OTHELLO ‘CHICO’ RENFROE

Chico played for the Kansas City Monarchs, Cleveland Buckeyes, Louisville Buckeyes, Kansas City Royals, Satchel Paiges All-Stars, Roy Campanella's All-Stars and Indianapolis Clowns from 1945 to 1953.

He was a bat boy for the Chicago American Giants in 1937 also. Chico was a member of the 1946 Negro League All-Star team. He also played baseball in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.

Chico was also a scout for the Montreal Expos, a Major League Baseball Official Scorer for the Atlanta Braves and Sports Editor for the Atlanta Daily World after his playing days were over.
