LIONEL R. EVELYN

Born: June 8, 1929, New York City

Lionel began his baseball career with John Beckwith’s Brooklyn Royal Giants and the  New York Cubans (1948-49).

After serving his country in the United States Navy (1951-1954), he played ball from 1955-59 for the Farley All-Stars, Indianapolis Clowns (1955), New York Black Yankees and Kansas City Monarchs (1959).

He wrapped up his playing days from 1960 to 1963 with the Brooklyn Giants in the Jackie Robinson League.
