Saul was an infielder from 1918 to 1936. He played for the Houston Black Buffaloes, Columbus Black Eyes, Bill Gates All-Stars, Birmingham Black Barons, Memphis Red Sox, Detroit Stars, Chicago American Giants, Black House Of David, Jack Johnson's All-Stars, Gilkerson Union Giants, Joe Greene's Chicago Giants, , Chicago Giants and Zulu Cannibal Giants.
