ALFRED ‘SLICK’ SURRATT

Slick Surratt played for the Negro League Kansas City Monarchs from 1949 to 1951. He was chosen several times to barnstorm with Satchel Paige, and called playing in Yankee Stadium his greatest thrill. Surratt also appeared as a commentator in Ken Burns's famous documentary film Baseball.
