WILLIAM ‘BARNEY’ SERRELL

Born: Mar. 9, 1922

Serrell was a slim and speedy infielder who also was a very good hitter. He batted .376 for the 1942 Kansas City Monarchs championship team.

In 1944 he batted .321 and was selected to play in the East-West All Star game. He went 2 for 3 in his only All Star game appearance.
