WILLIAM ‘BOBBY’ ROBINSON

Died: May 17, 2002

Born in October 1903, Will"Bobby" Robinson started playing with the Indianapolis ABCs in 1925. He then went on to play with the Birmingham Black Barons, the Chicago American Giants, the Memphis Red Sox, and the Detroit Stars over the next eight years.

He continued to play with various teams through the Thirties, finally retiring at the end of the 1942 season. Bobbie was known as the "Human Vacuum" for his ability to snag any ball coming in his general direction.
