| Dave - This photo is a wide angle repo that sells for around $20.00. They are a nice photo. I have sold them for years for that amount. Regards, Wayne Stivers Reply to this message

| Let me give you a history lesson on the First Colored World Series. Many people think that the photo that you purchased is a picture taken at the first game in the 1924 series. It was, in fact, a picture taken at the first game played in Kansas City but this was the 3rd game of the series. The order in which the games were played is as follows; First game October 3rd Baker Bowl in Philadelphia, 2nd game in Baltimore, 3rd tru 5th games in Kansas City and last two games in Chicago. | In summer 2006 we plan to organize a Hilldale Day for the community. We hope to encourage the formation of teams that would participate. Although we have residents who are very knowledgeable about the Daisys we would like to make the day a very special one with a ceremony at the stake on the old field. We will welcome all legitimate Hilldale historians and former players and League officials. We think this would help our young people to appreciate the contributions that this great team made to our town and across the country. Ideas, facts, promotion ideas etc would be welcome. This is all in the "Can we do it well enough to set a date " stage at this time but we are pretty good at putting things together. Darby Borough Historical and Preservation Society.
