COWAN 'BUBBA' HYDE

Died: November 20, 2003, St. Louis

Cowan was an outstanding outfielder for the Memphis Red Sox, Birmingham Black Barons, Indanapolis Athletics, Cincinnati Tigers, Palmer House All-Stars, Houston Eagles, Chicago American Giants and Satchel Paige All-Stars from 1924 to 1951, and was a member of the Negro League East-West All-Star team in 1943 and 1946.
