Born: 7-28-1918, Greenville, MS Ross was a pitcher who played from 1940 to 1947 for the Baltimore Elite Giants, New York Black Yankees, Cleveland Buckeyes and Boston Blues. He also was selected to play for Jackie Robinson’s All Stars. He is a member of the St. Louis Sports Hall Of Fame.
