THADIST ‘TED’ CHRISTOPHER

Thadist began his career in 1935 with the Nashville Elite Giants and moved to Washington with the team in 1936.

He was a good hitting outfielder who also played first base. In 1944 he hit a home run completely out of the Polo Grounds.

He finished his playing days in 1949 with the New York Black Yankees, who at that time were playing as an independent team after the demise of the Negro National League.
