GEORGE ALTMAN

Born: March 20, 1933

George spent three months in the Negro Leagues with the Kansas City Monarchs in 1955 before signing with the Chicago Cubs (1959-62, 1965-67).

He was a National League All Star in 1961 and 1962.

He also played for the Cardinals (1963) and the Mets (1964), and finally in Japan where he spent 7 years until his retirement in 1975.
