| It is It is with deep sadness that we must report the news that Lyman Bostock, Sr. passed away on Friday, June 24, 2005.
Mr. Bostock was a member of the NLBPA Board of Directors and one of the very few surviving members of the Negro League Birmingham Black Barons, where he played in the 1941 East-West All Star game. Lyman will be sorely missed by his family and friends. God Bless! ----------------------- Obituary, LYMAN BOSTOCK, SR. Birmingham, Alabama BOSTOCK, LYMAN W., 88, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. from Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church, Rev. T. Eric Nathan Officiating. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Bostock was a member of the Birmingham Black Barons Baseball team as well as a Negro League Legend. He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving wife, Minnie; (2) sons, Lemuel and Sherwin (Thaddeus) Bostock, both of Birmingham, Alabama. (9) grandchildren, (7) great grands.
