JIM ZAPP

Jim played 1948 to 1954 - Jim "Zapper" Zapp was a six year veteran of the Negro Leagues, playing mainly for the Birmingham Black Barons.

Zapp was one of the most feared hitters in the Negro Leagues, regularly batting over .300. In 1952, he joined the Paris, Illinois club which was part of the Missisippi-Ohio Valley minor league. He led the loop with 20 home runs and 136 RBI to go along with a .330 batting average.
