ROBERT ‘COTTON’ WILLIAMS

Cotton Williams began his career as an infielder, but as an infielder, he threw so hard that the other infielders complained, and was converted to a pitcher.

As a right-handed pitcher, he had a good fastball and posted a 6-4 record in 1947.

Teams:

  • Newark Eagles 1943-1948
  • Houston Eagles 1949-1950
  • New Orleans Eagles 1951
  • Philadelphia Stars 1951
