Born: Sept. 15, 1913 The 6-foot, 215-pound left-handed pitcher had a playing career that spanned from the late 1920’s to 1945 Walker was one of the top left-handers in the game in the early 1940s. In 1940 he had a 10-5 record for the Grays, who won the Negro League pennant. He played on eight of the nine straight Homestead pennant winners. - Late 1920’s - Mohawk Giants (Albany NY, semipro)
