William "Bill" Van Buren
Born: June 29, 1935
Died:
March 10, 2007 - Fulton, MO.

From the time Bill was 12 years old, he could be seen playing semi-professional baseball with men more than twice his age, namely with the Fulton Buffalos.

Bill spent 1 season in the Negro Leagues with the Kansas City Monarchs, the summer of 1953, before entering college at Lincoln University in the fall of 1953.

While at Lincoln University, Bill continued to play semi-professional baseball with the Jefferson City Dodgers.

Unfortunately, upon returning from a military stint in Germany, all of Bill's baseball equipment and memorabilia was stolen, along with his luggage.
