JOSE ‘SMO’ SANTIAGO

Jose was a pitcher for the New York Cubans in 1947 and 1948. He also played baseball in Puerto Rico from 1946 to 1962.

Jose made it to the Majors with Cleveland in 1954 and 1955 and Kansas City in 1956. He was the Puerto Rican League Rookie Of the Year in 1946-47.

He was a member of the East-West All-Star team in 1948 and was elected to the Puerto Rican Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1993.
