EVERETT ‘ZIGGY’ MARCELL

Born: Sept 1, 1916
Died: 1990

Primarily a utility player throughout his career, he played for the Kansas City Monarchs (1939), Satchel Paige's All-Stars (1939), Homestead Grays (1940), New York Black Yankees (1939, 1941), Chicago American Giants (1942), Baltimore Elite Giants (1939, 1947), Newark Eagles (1948), and in the Canadian League (1950).

Ziggy was the son of the great Oliver Marcelle, even though he spelled his name differently.
