Born: Apr 15, 1934 in Cottonton, Alabama  J.C. began playing organized baseball with the Inkster Colored Panthers (independent team) from 1952-54, then joined the 1955 Kansas City Monarchs where he was an All Star team member that year.
He did make it to the Major Leagues on July 21, 1962, with the Houston Colt .45s. The 28 year-old played for 2 seasons on one team and ended his big league playing career in 1963 |
