SAM HAIRSTON

Sam was an outstanding catcher-infielder for the Birmingham Black Barons and Indianapolis Clowns from 1944 to 1950 and was a member of the Negro League East-West All-Star team in 1948. He also won the Negro League Triple Crown in 1950 and went on to play for the Chicago White Sox in the Majors in 1951.
