JAMES ‘JOE’ GREENE
Aka: ‘Pea’ & ‘Pig’

James ‘Joe’ Greene was primarily a catcher who played from 1932 to 1948 for the Atlanta Black Crackers, Homestead Grays, Kansas City Monarchs and Cleveland Buckeyes.

He was with the Kansas City Monarchs when they won the Negro League World Series in 1942 and was a member of the West All-Stars in the East-West All-Star game in 1940 and 1942.
